School-Home Partnerships

“In partnership with our school community we nurture a culture of non-judgment and authentic care.”

This aspiration is drawn from our school’s mission statement and highlights the importance we place on strong home-school partnerships to support the wellbeing, learning and overall development of every child.   As we work closely together, children benefit from consistent expectations, shared goals, and a supportive environment that nurtures growth. We are grateful to have a parent community that is highly supportive which enhances the learning culture across our school. I am pleased to share with you opportunities to continue to maintain strong home-school alignment throughout the year.

Our School Community Education Sessions are an exciting opportunity to strengthen the connection between home and school while gaining valuable insights into your child’s learning journey. Across the year, families are invited to engage with a range of sessions designed to build understanding, confidence, and shared language around key areas of learning and wellbeing. From exploring how our student leaders are fostering respectful relationships through the Stand-Up Project, to unpacking the role of critical thinking in an age of artificial intelligence, these sessions are thoughtfully designed to support families in navigating the opportunities and challenges children experience both in and out of the classroom.

This year we are also providing parents with an opportunity to understand our whole school approaches in Mathematics and English, aligned with the research on the Science of Learning, through Open Mornings. You will have the opportunity to hear from our school leaders and experience a lesson in action followed by time to discuss how learning happens in class with your child. Our 2026 School Community Education Session schedule is available for families on Compass under Community – School Documentation.

In addition, during the final weeks of Term Two, families will be invited to attend Student Led Conferences, where your child takes an active role in sharing their learning. Through presenting a portfolio of work and reflecting on their growth they build confidence, voice, and ownership of their learning. These conferences create a supportive space for meaningful conversations between students, families, and teachers, strengthening our shared commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every child.

I also encourage all families to read their child’s Year Level newsletter published on our website earlier this week, which outlines the Term Two curriculum foci across English, Mathematics, Inquiry, Wellbeing, and Specialist subjects. These termly newsletters provide you with an opportunity to stay informed and engaged with your child’s learning and include tips on how to support your child at home.

Through these opportunities, we continue to build a strong, collaborative partnership that ensures every child is supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
