Chess Victoria Secondary Inter School Tournament

On Tuesday, 1 September, 14 students represented St Monica’s College in a Chess Victoria Secondary Inter School Zonal Tournament, which was held at Camberwell Grammar School. This was a huge chess event, which involved the participation of 230 students who competed in a pool of 43 teams representing several of Melbourne’s strongest chess schools. At the conclusion of seven rounds of fierce competition, St Monica’s College finished in 14th place out of the 43 teams that competed. This was a pleasing effort in such a strong chess tournament.
