Principal's Message
To Strive, To Seek, To Care with HEART

Dear Parents and Friends,
I start my message this week by saying that our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Kumanjayi Little Baby.
We're conscious that it will be a very difficult time for members of our community, and today we opened the Chapel for quiet reflection and the opportunity to light a candle; our counsellors have also been available for anyone who may need them.
We now focus our support towards the family and friends of Kumanjayi Little Baby and to the community members who assisted in the search.
College News
The air is crisp, the sun is shining, and the College is buzzing with activity. From the dust of the outback to the cheers on the track, it’s been an incredible start to the term. While the mornings have a fresh bite, the midday sun is still strong—please ensure jumpers and hats are named and worn each day.
Our Year 8s are currently enjoying pristine camping weather, with Year 7s set to follow in Week 5.
Uniform Note: We will transition to winter uniform once the temperature stays consistently low. Now is the perfect time to dust off those ties and blazers to ensure everything fits and is ready to go, and visit our Uniform Shop now to buy whatever is needed.
Last Thursday, we gathered for a moving ANZAC Service. A heartfelt thank you to Peter Gilham for his stirring bugle performance and Chris Tudor for a beautiful reading of the Ode. It was a poignant moment for our students to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to protect our peace.
It was also wonderful to see such a strong turnout at the ANZAC Day March on Saturday, led by our boarders and student leaders.
Friday’s Cross Country was a hit! With the Todd River still flowing, Davey Tudor and Riley Simpson redesigned the course and kept the action on the western side, allowing students to cheer each other on during the return leg. Congratulations to Cross Country Champions - Partridge House.
In the afternoon our brainiacs were unleashed at the Interhouse Quiz. Huge thanks to Academic Captain Jevindu Jayatillake for the fierce questions and for MCing the event. Congratulations to Quiz Winners - Topsy Smith House.
Our Medical Centre team - Deb Page, Sam Greathead and Rachel Kummerfeld have been superstars this week, coordinating a massive round of immunisations for Years 7, 9, 11, and 12. Thank you for keeping our community healthy!
The Parents’ & Friends’ Association also met on Wednesday evening to discuss how to invest recently raised funds. Current ideas include:
Save the Date: May 8th! It’s going to be a big Friday.
We will have Mother’s Day Drive Through: drop the kids off and grab a gourmet cookie on us! Even if you aren't doing the school run, swing by for a treat.
Then in the evening the Alice Food Fest is happening from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm on the College oval. Bring your friends, your family and your appetite for a night of incredible food under the stars.
I’m looking forward to another term of learning, adventure and community and hope you can join us on this journey.
Warm regards,
Leslie Tilbrook
