Welcome back to Term 3! I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and enjoyable school holiday. It has been fantastic to see students return to school with enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward learning. Welcome to Chris Condon who will teaching Grade 5/6 on Monday and Tuesday, while Megan Godkin-Briggs is on leave during Term 3.
NAPLAN Individual Student Reports have now been distributed to families. The report provides information about your child's achievement in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy, using the four proficiency levels: Exceeding, Strong, Developing, and Needs additional support.
We encourage parents and carers to read the report carefully and discuss the results with their child. NAPLAN is one source of information about your child's learning and should be considered alongside classroom assessments, teacher feedback, and school reports.

Brrr! 🥶 It has certainly been cold outside lately.
Don't forget to visit our second-hand uniform shop, where all items are just $2 each!
We're also running low on larger sizes jumpers - if you've recently had a clear-out and have any student uniforms that are no longer needed, we'd greatly appreciate your donations.
Each of last term’s positive behaviours went to House points. Through this Calder received 147 Points and Avoca, 110. This now has Calder leading the way on 260 with Avoca on 228 for the year.
Last term the Good Fruit Tree displayed the number of tokens we received, and it looked pretty impressive by the end of term.
This term’s focus for School Wide Positive Behaviour is the value of Resilience.
During Term 3, we will also be displaying how many tokens we have received as a school via a gumball machine. Let’s get it filled with 1000 tokens to gain an end of term reward!
After one week the machine is already beginning to fill.

The focus for the next fortnight is:
