Blacktown Zone Cup Netball Gala Day
On Monday the 7th of April the Wolverines participated in the Blacktown Cup Netball Gala Day. The girls played through the heat and without subs to finish 4th overall out of the 6 participating schools. A huge congratulations to Charlotte Cousens who was selected for the 2026 Blacktown Zone netball team.
University Shield Rugby League Gala Day
You’re only as good as your last game! Unfortunately our boys Rugby League team narrowly missed out on semi-finals at the University Shield gala day on the 9th of April. Despite this, a dominant 20-6 victory over Cranebrook HS in the final game rounded out the day on a positive and has us looking in good shape for next year’s tournament.
NSWPSSA State Swimming Championships
On the 10th and 11th of April our junior and senior Wyndham Sports Academy coaches and volunteers travelled to Olympic Park to work alongside teachers and swimming officials from across NSW, learning from their experience and expertise to further their own. This opportunity is provided by our partnership with NSWPSSA and the School Sport Unit to provide our Certificate III Sports Coaching students with industry experience at a range of sporting competitions.
Term 2
NSW OZTAG Schools Cup
Wednesday the 7th of May saw both our boys and girls Oz tag teams battle out at the NSW OzTag schools cup. Both teams narrowly missing out on a spot in the finals.
Sydney West Touch Football Top 8 Gala Day
Friday the 9th of May then saw the boys back up at the Sydney West final 8 touch football gala day, where they again narrowly missed a finals spot. Regardless of the finish, competing in this gala day puts the Wolverines in the top 8 schools in the Sydney West region.
Blacktown Zone Cross Country
Friday the 9th of May also saw the Wolverines put their best feet forward in the Blacktown Zone cross country carnival where Max Beringer, Lachlan Hill and Abby Hambly all recorded top 10 finishes to qualify for the Sydney West carnival later this term.
