As we approach the cooler months, it’s a timely reminder for our school community that our school uniform does not include leggings, track pants or branded fleecy jumpers/hoodies – students should be wearing long uniform pants if required.

Year 11 Parent Teacher Night

Save the date - Tuesday 24 June. Times to be advised . Academic Reports will be available in the Sentral Parent Portal the day before Parent Teacher Night.

Academic Review meetings

Review meetings have recently been conducted with students, supporting them to get back on track or remain on target to achieve their goals. Support strategies were identified, and we look forward to continuing to have open and supportive engagement with students and their families.

Successful completion of Year 11 with sustained application, completion of course and assessment work and high attendance

As students prepare for Focus Week in Week 6 and submission of assessment task 2 for most courses, it’s timely and important to remind students that they must successfully complete twelve Year 11 units.

English is a mandatory course in both Year 11 & 12 with a minimum of 2 units per year. To meet requirements for all their subjects, students must:

• attend all classes

• participate in the learning activities provided by the teacher

• complete assessment tasks for each subject, including course examinations.

A student will be considered to have satisfactorily completed a course if, in the Principal’s view, there is sufficient evidence the student has:

(a) followed the course developed or endorsed by the NESA

(b) applied themselves, with diligence and sustained effort, to the set tasks and experiences provided in the course, by the school

(c) achieved some or all of the course outcomes.

If you or your child is facing difficulties in meeting these requirements, please contact me at the school as early as possible so that we may work together to support each student.
