In recent days, we have experienced Easter, the death of Pope Francis and Anzac Day. All have something in common - grief, sadness and hope.
One way that peace and comfort has been demonstrated at Easter, the Pope's funeral and Anzac Day are the rituals experienced by people together, which help in times of grief and beyond.
Peace can be found in spite of our grieving especially as we remember those who have died. Creating a ritual is a way for community & individuals to not only honour them but also helps in the grieving process. There are no right or wrong ways to grieve, but by allowing space to remember and talk about the loss, we can experience a peace that is beyond our understanding.
Creating a Grief Ritual
As Christians, our hope & peace lie in the truth of Jesus' death & resurrection.
