Physical Education- Mrs Carbone
Our Foundation students have been enthusiastically learning how to skip (jump rope) during PE lessons. Through practising a variety of skipping techniques, they have been developing their coordination, balance and rhythm while building confidence and enjoyment in movement. Students have also had lots of fun participating in skipping games such as Helicopter, Walk the Dog, Snake in the Grass and Horses.
Mandarin- Limei Laoshi (老师)
This week in the Mandarin class, Year 1 & 2 students played indoor and outdoor games to practise counting numbers 1- 20 in Mandarin. They also did some drawing by recognising the Chinese writing of the numbers.
Visual Art- Mrs Moore
Year 3 and 4 Students have been busy in the Art room creating their Zenki Softies. The designs vary from fish, to bananas, to ducks, to teddy bears and more! All students have learnt how to sew buttons for eyes and they are now learning to sew a running stitch.
Performing Arts
This term, the Year 5 & 6 students have been learning how to create music using repeated musical patterns called ostinatos. They have also explored different ways to structure a composition, including binary, ternary, rondo and linear form.
