Interschool Sport

As we reach the end of another busy and successful year of school sport, we would like to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding efforts, achievements, and sportsmanship displayed by our students across all year levels.

This term, our junior school students competed in Cricket and, from all accounts, had an enjoyable day, demonstrating wonderful sportsmanship and school pride.

Our senior school students competed in the Unity Cup—an event that brought together people of all cultures and religions to celebrate diversity through AFL.

After a mammoth year of interschool sport, Term 4 has given us time to reflect on the wonderful experiences our students were able to participate in, as well as the many successes of our teams. This year, we sent out 24 teams from the Junior Campus, 25 teams from the Senior Campus, and had an additional three teams advance to regional events. We would also like to congratulate Marita Manoa-Seumanutafa on becoming the first Bemin student to compete at a state level. Marita proudly represented Bemin Secondary College in the 100m, placing fourth at the State Track and Field event.

As a growing school, this is a huge achievement, not only for our students, but also for the staff who have volunteered their time to coach and support them. We would like to sincerely thank all staff who have supported and coached our students. To our students: you have exceeded all of our expectations, not only in the sporting arena but also through the sportsmanship you have shown and the way you have upheld our school values both on and off the court. We are incredibly proud of all that you have achieved this year.

Next year, Jas, Luke, and I will be handing over the Sports Coordinator baton to Ashleigh Stafford and Kate Meynell, who we are sure will continue to grow and strengthen our program. We wish them all the very best for an exciting year ahead.
