What an amazing year our Preps have had with so many important milestones and whole school celebrations. It’s hard to believe that our new Preps will be undertaking their final ‘Stepping Up’ day, meeting their new buddies, and finding out which classes they will be in next year, as well as meeting their new teachers. It certainly is an exciting time of the year.

Last Friday, our Parents Association organised our whole school Colour Run, which was a fantastic event. The Wonga Park CFA came and hosed us all down, as we made our way around the school being sprinkled with bursts of coloured powder. Our students enjoyed an icy pole and watching Mr Franklin, Mrs Macrae, and Mrs Butler get buckets of ice tipped over them to help raise important funds for our whole school Chromebook program. A huge thank you to all parent helpers involved on the day, especially to Helen McDonald for her coordination of the event.

Last week our Prep students spent time with their Year 5 Buddies. We enjoyed making some Christmas Craft together, colouring in, and going down to the sanctuary for a practise play for next year. We discussed safe and fair play in the sanctuary, rules, and boundaries. The Preps had so much fun playing with their buddies down in the sanctuary.

This week we prepare or students for the Christmas Concert on Wednesday night and our Prep Alphabet Concert on Friday. This will be a celebration of all their learning this year and a wonderful opportunity for parents to come and see their children perform several different songs and dances to showcase all their learning.

Highlights of 2025

Special events this year have included our Teddy Bears Picnic, Cross Country, Athletics Day, Crazy Hair Day, 100 Years of School, 100-Year School Birthday Celebrations, Indonesian Day, Book Week, Footy Day, Swimming Program, Prep Alphabet Concert, PMP, Colour Run, the and Christmas Concert.
