Our junior classes have been learning how to stay safe when using technology, whether it's online or offline. They have started to learn about the four eSafety's Mighty Heroes – Wanda the echidna, River the sugar glider, Dusty the frilled neck lizard and Billie the bilby.

Our senior classes have started learning how to code using different programs. Our 5/6s are learning how to code using JavaScript through Khan Academy. We certainly saw some interesting attempts at coding snowmen this fortnight... Other classes will start coding with Scratch and may progress to other programs later in the year.

If students in Year 5/6 want to practise coding at home, they can log onto Khan Academy using their school accounts or they can set up their own account.
