Grade 4A Math’s

Over the past few weeks, 4A have been learning how to solve addition and times tables problems. For example, "123 + 345".

We start by adding the three and the five which equals eight, then we write the eight in the ones column, next we move to the tens column with the two and the four which equals six, then we write the six in the tens column. Finally, we do one plus three which is four and we write the four in the hundreds column. We also have our 6 times tables on the board and we read them out loud as a group to work on our timetables. 

Grade 4A sport 

On the 21st of April, the Grade 3 to 6 went to Cross Country. Some people in our class have made it to the next level. In P.E we are learning to play soccer. We were taught to dribble and kick the ball properly.  

 Grade 4A literacy

Over the past week, 4A have been writing persuasive texts. For example, I have written about how video games are better than board games because you don't need to use your mind too much and you don’t need to take turns when playing video games. I also wrote about how you can play with friends online by doing it safely. 

We have also been learning punctuation,

For example: "what's the time? Go to bed!".

Grade 4A Integrated studies 

We have also been doing integrated studies with Mrs Lofts' 2/3 class where we have been learning about the water cycle and the environment.
