The last day of Term 1 was anything but quiet in Foundation, in fact, it could best be described as enjoyably chaotic.
Our day began with some very serious culinary work: cooking bunny biscuits. While the goal was to decorate a bunny face, there seemed to be far more icing on fingers, sleeves, and tables than on the actual bunnies themselves, but that’s all part of the joy of cooking in Foundation! We were treated to bright blue, red, and green bunnies, each proudly sporting oversized chocolate ears and marshmallow noses. Masterpieces, really.

As if that excitement was not enough, the long-awaited moment finally arrived… the eggs hatched! The excitement was noticeable across the school as students watched their eggs slowly crack open, revealing a little Easter surprise. The joy was contagious, and every student proudly received a small gift to take home.

The Preps also took part in their very first Colour Fun Run, and what an experience it was! There was plenty of running, lots of colour, water sprays, endless laughter, and, of course, a well-earned Zooper Dooper at the end. Tired legs, big smiles, and colourful faces made it clear the fun run was a huge success.

Looking ahead, Term 2 will be a busy and exciting one. There is lots of learning planned as we work towards assessments and the students’ first school reports, which will be completed at the end of the term.
As always, please remember that if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning or progress, my door is always open. I am more than happy to chat and support wherever I can.
Here’s to a wonderful start and an even bigger Term 2 ahead!
