Community Reading Day

After donning their craziest of socks, All Saints’ students enjoyed a lovely 3 hours in and around our town library for our annual Community Reading Day on Wednesday.
This year, with an emergency services theme. We extend a special thanks to all those involved who make this day happen, especially the local fire brigade who bravely dressed in their full fire outfit in the heat; To Sergeant Drew, who planned out a crime for us to solve - who stole his doughnuts??? And a huge thanks to the ambulance officers who were on a late call-out and came anyway, rather than catch up on sleep; our local heroes!
We were also very impressed with the high school students who helped run many of the activities and read to us. They engaged beautifully with our students, some of whom were All Saints’ students not long ago. It was lovely to come together with our friends from other local primary schools and enjoy a special day reading and learning with our community.
If your child does not know their address or an emergency mobile number (mum or dad’s), the day was a really good reminder of how important these are.
