From the Principal's Desk

It’s hard to believe we are already nearing the end of term—this term really has flown.
Next week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, which is always a great chance to recognise what makes our school such a special place—our faith, our learning and our strong sense of community. As part of the week, we invite all families to join us for Open Classrooms on Wednesday from 10:10 am to 11:10 am, followed by a picnic lunch with your children. It’s always a nice opportunity to spend some time in the classrooms and see the great work being done.
A big congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students on completing their NAPLAN assessments. I am very proud of the way they approached the tests and conducted themselves.
On Wednesday, some of our students attended Community Reading Day. It was by all accounts, a great event and a reminder of how important (and enjoyable) reading can be.
We wish our netball team all the best for the Netball Schools Cup next Wednesday in Wagga at the Equex Centre netball courts. We know they will do us proud with the way they play and support one another. Good luck!
This weekend is the Tumbarumba Show. Students of All Saints’ have been very busy decorating biscuits and preparing artworks for the show. A huge thank you to Miss O’Sullivan and Miss Ness, who have been busy today setting up the All Saints’ display. Also, a huge thanks to Mrs Barclay, Mrs Thomsen, parent and grandparents helpers and teachers who helped yesterday with the biscuit creations and packaging. It was great to see the creations take shape.
In the final week of term, our Stage 3 students will head off to Leadership Camp at Borambola Sports and Recreation Centre on Monday and Tuesday of Week 10. This is always a highlight and a great opportunity for students to build their leadership skills and independence.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.
God Bless,
Daniel Francis
Principal
