Wellbeing Moments

We’re starting something new this year called Wellbeing Moments. These are short messages with simple idea to think about, usually connected to wellbeing, mindset, or things that can make life feel a bit better or easier. There’s nothing you need to do, it’s just something to read and reflect on, if you’d like.

This week’s focus is Connection.

Connection means feeling understood, accepted, or valued by someone else. It doesn’t have to be deep or serious. It can be small things, like:

  • Laughing with a friend
  • Sitting with someone at lunch
  • Sending a message to someone you haven’t talked to in a while
  • Even just making eye contact and saying hello

Sometimes, when we’re not feeling great, one of the first things we do is pull away from people. That’s a normal reaction, but often connection is actually one of the things that helps the most.

If this week feels tough, try one small moment of connection. It doesn’t have to be big. Small counts.

And if you ever want someone to talk to, you’re always welcome to check in with your Head of Year or our College Psychologists.
