We looked at the artist Alexander Calder who was an engineer and artist. He used simple machines and metals to create sculptures. He was interested in how simple shapes moved and created their own art through shadow. We got inspiration from him and drew a self-portrait with one pencil line then "traced" our faces with pipe cleaners to create sculptures. Our display shows how uniquely wonderful we all are! 

Annabel - we sketched our faces and then traced them with pipe cleaners to make an artwork featuring shadows.

Harper - Alexander Calder was an engineer and used his engineering to make art Marvel- Inspired by Calder, we used pipe cleaners to show what we look like. We have also displayed shadows behind them. We are made unique by God!
