This has been a busy term with Year 10 students looking to secure a work experience placement. Students who haven't been able to find a placement still need to look. We understand it can be hard trying to secure one so if you need any help with work experience please come and see us in the Careers area.

 

We hope students who are going out on placement during the holidays have a wonderful time and use the opportunity to explore the world of work.

 

Here are some suggestions of places students can consider and approach; Pharmacies, Primary Schools, Dermatologists Centres, Gyms, Sporting/Entertainment Clubs/Centres, Vets and Dentists. Many retail places such as Beauty Salons allow students to find out about laser therapies and cosmetic injectables which can lead to careers in Science, Biomedical Science or Dermal Science. Pet shops can give students a chance to find out about animals and often there is a Veterinarian onsite where students may be able to work within. Students should use these holidays to find out about different careers and options and hopefully secure a work experience placement.
