Methods to investigate rates of reaction
Students in Core science classes have started designing their own method to investigate rates of reaction. They have worked effectively in groups to collect and analyzse their data. Just like real scientists they will be writing a report on their findings.
Year 10 Astrophysics
Year 10 Astrophysics lab - flame spectroscopy
Students in Astrophysics are studying the stuff of stars using flame spectroscopy and gas lamps. They investigated and collected a range of data for their practical reports. Their favourite part was burning salts in the bunsen flame to create different colours and matching this to the metal cations.
