HoL Programs 

Donations Needed!!!

Brookside College is proud to offer a Hands-On Learning (HOL) Trade Program, providing students with authentic opportunities to develop practical skills through individual projects, school-based projects and projects that contribute to the wider community.

The program gives students the opportunity to explore and develop valuable trade and vocational skills, including:

• Bricklaying
• Carpentry
• Furniture making
• Landscaping
• General construction and workshop skills
• Safe and responsible use of tools and equipment
•  

With the increasing cost of materials, Brookside College is seeking to establish partnerships with local businesses and organisations that may be able to support our HOL Trade Program through the donation of new, excess, surplus or recycled materials.

Materials We Are Seeking:

Timber:

• Timber pieces 30cm or larger (Untreated pine, Hardwood, Plywood, Untreated pallet timber)
• No MDF, particleboard or chipboard

Hardware:

• Assorted screws, Bolts and nuts
• Clamps of assorted sizes
• Sandpaper in assorted grades

Painting & Finishing:

• Water-based acrylic paint in assorted colours
• Water-based varnishes and stains
•
