South East Water Winners

On Friday 17th October,  a representative from South East Water, Anita MacKenzie, attended our whole school assembly and announced that Mt Eliza Primary School had won the overall 'Most Entries for a School' division. We had 427 enteries which awarded us the title. Our school received a plaque in recognition of the Sustainability Unit we completed across the school in our STEM classes in Term 3; Water- a Vital Resource. We also received $500.  All entrants should be very proud of their efforts as each contribution was the reason we were successful.

Harper Q from Prep placed 3rd in her division which was extremely exciting. Harper also received a plaque alongside a gift voucher! We had over 30 students whose posters were shortlisted across the school which was an incredible honour.

Javette Westlake and Donna Murray.

Dan C - External STEM Award

Dan C from 5T won the Age 10 -15  STEM Category at the Create It Youth Art Showcase run by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council in September with his bespoke Crawler Crane.  Dan designed and built the crane himself which has all the functions of a real crawler crane - it lifts, rotates and moves backwards and forwards.  Dan won a $100 gift card. Well done Dan.
