ICAS competition

We are delighted to inform you that Port Melbourne Primary School will be participating in the world-renowned ICAS competition this year.  

What is ICAS?  

ICAS is an optional online academic competition that is designed to assess students’ higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. Port Melbourne Primary School will offer English and Mathematics tests in 2024. 

ICAS is a challenging test designed for students working above the expected level of curriculum. If you are not sure if ICAS is right for your child, please confer with the classroom teacher. 

Every student who participates will receive a printed certificate and an online results report. Top performers will be eligible for medals.  

ICAS Testing Window

ICAS Tests will be conducted at school and be supervised by Port Melbourne PS teachers. 

• Year 2 – 6 English Test Window: 12-16 August 2024
• Year 2 – 6 Mathematics Test Window*: 26-30 August 2024. 

*Please note: all ICAS testing will take place during school hours. It is not possible to sit ICAS from home.
