Congratulations to our July Aussie of the Month Recipients for 2026

We are incredibly proud to recognise these students for the positive contribution they make to our school community each and every day.
Throughout the month, these students consistently demonstrated our School Values and Learner Qualities within the classroom but also out in the yard during play time.
A huge congratulations to Harvey, James and Jabali! Well done on this fantastic achievement, boys. Your teachers have acknowledged your consistent demonstration of our values and learner qualities, and for always striving to be positive role models within our school community. We are so proud of your efforts.

Our Student Ambassadors had a fantastic first meeting to kick-start the term, with plenty of student voice, new ideas and exciting projects already underway!
We had a special guest appearance from Macey, who came along to present an idea for starting an Ooshie Club at LNPS. Macey did a fantastic job presenting her proposal, which sparked some great discussion among our Ambassadors about the organisational side of bringing an idea like this to life. Students considered how the club could operate, what would be needed to make it successful and how we could ensure it works well for everyone. It was a great example of student voice and leadership in action!
Some of our Ambassadors and senior students have also been busy preparing something special for Book Week. Around 12 students recorded themselves reading a selection of this year's children's books. These recordings will be shared by classroom teachers in the lead-up to Book Week, giving classes the opportunity to enjoy the stories read by some familiar LNPS faces!
A brilliant start to the term for our Student Ambassadors! We're looking forward to seeing their ideas, leadership and initiatives continue to grow throughout the term. Aim High!

We're excited to announce that Active Lunch is back for Semester 2!
Active Lunch provides students with a fun and inclusive opportunity to stay active, build friendships and enjoy a range of games and activities during the lunch break.
Sessions run from 1:00 pm – 1:25 pm on the following days:
Friday: Fisher students
A huge thank you to our Student Ambassadors, who did an outstanding job setting up and preparing all of the equipment on Monday and Tuesday ready for students to enjoy. Their leadership and enthusiasm helped ensure a smooth start to the program.
It was fantastic to see such a great turnout during our first week, with many of our new Reception students joining in alongside our Mellor students. From team games to individual challenges, there was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see students being active, trying new activities and having fun together.
We look forward to another successful term of Active Lunch and can't wait to see even more students getting involved throughout the semester!

Statewide Inclusive Education Services (SIES) holds free forums each term for parents and carers of students with disability. The theme for this term is ‘Supporting parent/carer wellbeing ...avoiding burnout’.
The session will offer: a cultural mindful activity, insight into what overwhelm is and how it can affect parents/carers, and practical strategies to support parent/carer wellbeing.
