What has been a new start to the sport for most of the team

We finally got our first win!!! 

The kids have given their all every week - listened at training - learnt the game and it finally paid off!

What an incredible game on 1/8/26! 💙⚽️ Lockleys North White vs Prospect was such a fantastic match to watch.Although Prospect managed to score one goal, we made their goalkeeper work incredibly hard! We must have had around 12 shots on goal, and the pressure we put on their defence all game was outstanding. It was wonderful to see the passing, players running into space, and everyone working together as a team.A special mention to Orlando for that amazing penalty kick—what a moment! 👏 Then Nicholas and Dante kept the pressure on with chance after chance… bam, bam, bam! The determination from everyone was brilliant.An even bigger achievement was that the team played the entire game without any substitutes. That takes a huge amount of effort, and every single player should be proud of how hard they worked from the first whistle to the last.Thank you as well to all our amazing parents on the sidelines for keeping the players going with quick hydration breaks and constant encouragement. Your support makes such a difference.When Prospect started putting us under pressure, I was so proud to see everyonestay calm, keep playing as a team, and continue showing respect to our opponents, the referee and each other. During Respect Round, you couldn’t have represented Lockleys North any better.I’m incredibly proud of every one of you. Well done, Lockleys North White! 💙🤍⚽️

What a game against St Margaret Mary’s on 8/8/26 — an amazing 5–1 WIN! 🎉 And once again, everyone played the entire game with no subs. Such a huge effort from the whole team!

⭐️ Star of the show was Orlando with FOUR amazing goals! ⭐️We even had to Google what you call four goals in one game… apparently it’s a HAUL (for all the soccer lovers out there! 😂⚽️). What an incredible achievement, Orlando!

And then an EPIC goal from Luca! 🙌 What a beauty!

Nicholas was outstanding today with some fantastic assists and came so close to getting a goal of his own from that free kick. So unlucky — it was a brilliant attempt!

Oscar, Zahni and Frankie were relentless, putting so much pressure on St Margaret Mary’s. I think the opposition were definitely getting a little nervous whenever they saw you coming! 😄 The teamwork, running and determination were fantastic.

And of course, Noah in goals! 🧤⚽️ Another amazing performance with so many important saves. But just as impressive was how loudly he supported and encouraged his teammates throughout the game. What a fantastic team player! 💙

A huge thank you again to our wonderful parents for the snacks, fair linesmanship, lightning-fast hydration breaks 💦 and, of course, being the loudest supporters on the sidelines! 📣

Most importantly, another game where everyone worked hard, supported each other and played as a team.

AIRPORT SAPSASA SOCCER 

AIRPORT BOYS

LNPS had 3 students representing the Airport District at the SAPSASA Carnival  last week. The tournament went from Wednesday to Friday and we played 8 games at Service Fm stadium in Gepps Cross. My name is Tex Robertson, and a highlight for me was when I moved into the midfield for 9 minutes and scored a goal against East Adelaide. My name is Nathanael Sgardelis, and a highlight for me was scoring 8 goals and 8 assists throughout the tourney. My name is Archie Morabito, and a highlight for me was scoring a bicycle kick. Overall, the tournament was a lot of fun, we showed great teamwork and sportsmanship, winning 6 out of our 8 games. In the end, the Airport boys finished 3rd overall in the state carnival.

AIRPORT GIRLS

Last week, the sapsasa soccer carnival was held at service FM over 3 days. It was great to have so many lockleys north students participate and be part of the airport district. In the girls team we had Emily, Sophia, Leila and Lily and for the boys, Tex, Nathanael and Archie. We played a total of 8 games overall and the girls Airport team finished 3rd. We made Friends with other kids from schools in our area and we played some amazing soccer. We had a lot of fun competing against all of the other districts and it is a really big achievement to have come 3rd out of 9 teams.
