New - Farewell Mrs Cox
On Monday we presented our long term staff member Mrs Kym Cox, with kind words and a farewell gift on behalf of the school community as she starts a new teaching chapter.
The following farewell speech was read by Jess Church -
On behalf of the Parents and Friends Committee, we would like to acknowledge and celebrate someone who has made an incredible impact on the lives of so many children and families at St Mary’s – Mrs Cox.
After almost 15 years of dedicated service to our school community, Mrs Cox is moving on to a new chapter, and while we are excited for her, it is certainly not easy to say goodbye.
For many of our families, Mrs Cox has been the very first teacher their child has ever had. Starting school is a huge milestone, often filled with excitement, nerves and uncertainty. Year after year, Mrs Cox has had a remarkable gift for making that transition feel easy. She has welcomed countless little Prep students into her classroom with warmth, kindness and patience, helping them feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Mrs Cox has a special way of making every child feel important. She sees the unique qualities in each student and helps them build confidence, friendships and a love of learning. Long after students have left her classroom, they continue to remember the care, encouragement and support she gave them during those important first years of school.
As parents, we are incredibly grateful for the role Mrs Cox has played in the lives of our children. Her dedication extends far beyond teaching reading, writing and maths. She has helped shape young people, nurtured their confidence and created memories that will last a lifetime, including all the baby animals.
Mrs Cox, thank you for the countless hours, the unwavering care, the gentle encouragement and the genuine love you have shown the children of St Mary’s over the years. Your impact on this community is immeasurable, and your legacy will continue through the many students whose lives you have touched.
While we will miss seeing your smiling face around our school, we hope you know how deeply appreciated and respected you are by students and families.
As a small token of our gratitude and appreciation, the Parents and Friends Committee would like to present you with this gift. We hope it reminds you of the many lives you have touched and how much you will always be a part of the St Mary’s family.
Please join us in thanking Mrs Cox for her outstanding contribution to St Mary’s and wishing her all the very best for the future.

Reminder - Lunch Order Day
To finish off Term 2, on Friday 26th June (last day of term) we are having a pie/sausage roll lunch order day. For students who have pre-ordered Party Pies and Party Sausage Rolls, these will be supplied by Burkes Bakery Mooroopna and delivered to the classrooms Friday Lunchtime.
PLEASE NOTE - Subway orders to be in on Wednesday 24th and will be delivered on Thursday 25th June of this week.
