Weekly Highlights - Term 1: Week 1 and 2
Welcome Back to School 2026.
Welcome back everyone. It’s been terrific seeing all the children back again. Hooray! I am so happy to see happy faces especially back at TheirCare. This week is very exciting, to meet some new friends who have joined our TheirCare service, we would like to welcome all of you back to Term 1.
For the past two weeks we have been concentrating on getting back to our routine and getting to know each other, children from Lalor East we were able to design their own TheirCare assistants cards. We also discussed about our children philosophy, activities, menu and toy wish list.
Based on our children interests and suggestions we have also being busy creating tunnels, cubby houses and used our imagination for pretend dramatic play. Dramatic play, also known as pretend play, involves a child adopting pretend roles to engage in make believe scenarios.
Children were also involved in Gym active play, water our community garden, explore outdoors and play in our new play spaces and practice lock down drill.
Reminders:
Lalor East TheirCare also follows Sun Smart and as of 1 September, we encourage children when going outside to place suncream and sunhats.
Please make sure your child have a hat in their bag for when attending our session.
If your child requires special sunscreen please let the staff know, as we only carry 50+ homebrand.
Parents are required to get their child/ren warmer jackets as we encourage and support indoor/outdoor play.
It would be amazing to have families share any recipes with us as we are starting with our Cooking club as of next week
