Term 2 has started with lots of exciting events, including:

• Whole School ANZAC Day Ceremony
• RSL ANZAC excursion for student leaders

Year 2 ACMI Excursion

Mina: We went to ACMI where we got to use props to do a play. We made different things and got to eat in Federation Square. We learnt how green screens can be used to make different backgrounds. My favourite part was seeing all our videos put together at the end. We finally found Cinderella!

Antonio: We went to ACMI and learnt how movies worked and how to use a green screen. We were pretending to be different characters in a story to find Cinderella. Then we explored the Museum and saw how different technology looked in the past. I loved using the ACMI cards and playing old video games.

Raavi: We learnt about using a green screen. The memory garden was really cool. It beamed a video onto our hands. I loved getting to find Cinderella.

Camilla: I loved the excursion. We made a movie. I was a unicorn and I had to say ‘Where is Cinderella?’

RSL ANZAC Experience

We got to look around the RSL and see some old items that were used in the war, event tanks! We saw some photographs and uniforms. It was a very special experience for us to be a part of, learn about the ANZACs and meet some special veterans in our local community.

We look forward to the remaining exciting events of Term 2, which can be found on our Important Dates page. There are lots of sporting activities to come including our Year 3/4 Hoop Time, Year 4 - 6 Athletics Day and Netball/AFL Gala Day. One of our most exciting events this term will be on the last day for our Green & Gold Socceroos Dress Up Day!
