What's On In Foundation 

BUDDIES

We always look forward to our Buddy sessions, and this visit was extra special!

Our Buddies have been busy becoming authors and created their own picture books especially for our Foundation students. It was wonderful to see how well they have got to know their Little Buddies. Many of the stories included their favourite things, and some even featured the Little Buddies as characters!

It was lovely to see the Buddies share their stories and then listen to their Little Buddies read the books back to them. The best part was that the Little Buddies got to keep their special books to take home and share with their families.

MATHS

Our Maths sessions combine clear teaching with fun, hands-on learning, helping our Foundation students build their skills and confidence. We begin each session by revisiting key skills from throughout the year, helping children remember and use what they have learned.

We are exploring ‘teen’ numbers and the different ways they can be made and represented. We are also developing our understanding of addition and beginning to explore subtraction. Each day, we practise the days of the week and use words such as ‘yesterday’, ‘today’ and ‘tomorrow’. Through these activities, students continue to build their Maths skills in fun and meaningful ways.
