College Chorale Performs at Harold Hawthorne Community Centre
On 23 April, our College Chorale had the honour of performing at the ANZAC Day Service at the Harold Hawthorne Community Centre, sharing a meaningful moment with residents of the retirement village.
Through music, our students brought the spirit of the ANZAC story to life, performing powerful pieces including Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream, My Island Home, and The Dying Stockman. A moving reading of In Flanders Fields by Cheyenne L added to the reflection, reminding us all of the sacrifice and resilience of those who served.
We were also privileged to have Karen Vernon, Mayor of Victoria Park, and Hannah Beazley MLA, Member for Victoria Park, in attendance. Opportunities like this go beyond performance. They allow our students to connect across generations, share stories through song, and grow in confidence while honouring an important part of our history.
