ANZAC Day 2026

On 29 April, our college gathered for a special ANZAC Day assembly, thoughtfully organised by our HASS department.

It was a time for both students and staff to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by Australians and New Zealanders who have served in armed conflict.

ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first landing at Gallipoli during World War I and has since grown to commemorate all who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

We also took time to recognise the service of Indigenous soldiers during the Korean War, who stepped forward to serve their country despite the discrimination they faced. Their courage and determination remain an important part of our nation’s story.

The assembly included a moment of silence, the laying of a wreath, a moving performance by our College Chorale, a recital of the Ode of Remembrance and the sounding of the Last Post.

As a College community, we encourage our students to carry the ANZAC spirit with them in all that they do, both in and beyond the classroom.
