Say cheese!
St A's school photos will be taken on Thursday 20th March.
To order your photos, scan the QR below or head to the Leading Image website.
Please refer to the Operoo that was sent out on March 6th, for more details.
World of Maths Incursion
This week, students in all year levels participated in an incursion involving hands-on learning and application of mathematics in practical situations.
The students showed excellent perseverance and communication skills as small groups rotated through the series of activities.
It is important for children to see mathematics in context, and how we use it in our daily lives. Look at home for natural chances to discuss numbers, measurement, and probability in everyday circumstances.
Online Learning - Mathseeds, Mathletics, Times Table Rockstars
I have been so thrilled to see the number of students who have logged on and have been completing tasks.
Great job kids!
If you have not been able to access our online learning, please reach out to your Classroom Teacher, so they can give you the necessary details. Likewise, if tasks are too easy or too hard, they can be scaled up or down. Just let us know!
Mathematics Competitions
Thankyou to those who have replied about Bebras, CAT, and the Australian Mathematics Competition throughout the year.
Students from Grades 3-6 can participate (Grades 5-6 only for CAT), and the ability to sign up is still available through Operoo.
Strong number skills are not essential, but a strong sense of lateral thinking and problem solving will help.
So kids, join in the fun, and challenge yourself to be the best Mathematician you can be!

Mrs L-C has been getting lots of questions about when the St A's choir is starting in 2025!
We love that so many students are interested in joining our choir! Weekly choir rehearsals will begin once auditions for the school production are over - hopefully at the end of Week 6.
Our choir is open to students from Prep - Gr 6. We learn a variety of songs, working towards a couple of public performances per year at assemblies and other school events.
Choir rehearsals will run each Friday at 1st lunch (11am).
