P&C Funded Immersive Space project - good news

Well the really good news will be when the children have a completely new area to play in and explore, but for now the good news is that the Assets Unit within the Department of Education have taken charge of our project and are sending contractors out to the school to assess the site in preparation for the real work to begin. Over the coming months you may notice disruption next to the existing playground as work is being done, but after a few years of this being in the pipeline, it is great to hear things are finally about to kick off.

In coming newsletters I want to highlight various pieces of equipment that have been ordered and will be going in. The pictures are directionally correct, but subject to change. When the kids voted last year on what they most wanted to see, the Mud Kitchen came out on top (actually more of a work bench to encourage creative play).

In today's newsletter I want to call out the contribution of Tina T. Last newsletter I mentioned the successful grant application from Dounia L, but Tina was also very proactive in seeing a potential grant from Woolworths for buying plants to add to this new immersive space - she applied and was successful.  The P&C Exec love hearing ideas from parents at the school, but what we love even more is when someone not only has the idea, but then offers to take charge of seeing that idea come to fruition.  Tina is one such person, and her contribution is just one of the many from within this school community that has made this project possible.
