Crazy Hair Day

We are excited to announce that Roselea Public School will be holding a Crazy Hair Day on Thursday 3rd April! This fun event encourages students to get creative with their hairstyles while supporting a great cause.

This year, we are raising money for one of our Year 6 students, Audrey, who is cutting a significant portion of her hair in support of the World’s Greatest Shave. The portion of her hair that is cut will be turned into a wig for those in need. The event will take place in front of the whole school during our assembly at 2:30pm. This initiative raises vital funds for critical cancer research and support services.

Details of Crazy Hair Day:

Date: Thursday 3rd April (Week 10) at our Whole School Assembly at 2:30pm

Dress Code: Please come to school in your school uniform with your most outrageous and creative hairdo!

Gold Coin Donation: We ask each student to bring in a gold coin to donate towards this important cause.

Let’s show our support for Audrey and her generous act of kindness. We cannot wait to see everyone’s crazy hairstyles!

ANZAC Day Service 2025

The Roselea Anzac Day Service for 2025 will be held on Wednesday 9th April (Term 1, Week 11), commencing at approximately 9:30am, under the COLA. On this day, we will commemorate our past and present Defence Force personnel. All students in our school will be present and our school band will play. Chief Petty Officer Luke Porter will also address our students.

Students who are in a service group outside of school, such as Cubs, Guides, Scouts or Brigades are most welcome to wear their service uniform on the day. Also, students may wear family service medals, if you wish. On the day all students will wear a special felt poppy. The poppies are either red, purple or white. Red represents fighting and support personnel, white represents medical personnel and purple represents the animals which have served in the armed forces.

We also ask that on the morning of 9 April, families send flowers from their own garden or artificial flowers, so that each class may make a wreath, which will be placed at the bell tower, beneath the Australian flag, during the service. Children of current serving Defence personnel will also place flowers at the bell tower. The wreaths will be taken afterwards to local War Memorial Cenotaphs.

We would like to extend an invitation to all our school community, to join us for this special service. To assist with our planning, if you are able to be present on Wednesday 9th April, please complete the form below, indicating that you will be joining us.
