Shine Like the Sun in 1/2 2026 

☀️Welcome to 1/2 for 2026! ☀️

We are so excited to begin a brand new year together with our motto, “Shine Like the Sun in 1/2.” This year, we are encouraging every student to shine in their own unique way. 

Our Faith Based Inquiry Key Concept for 2026 is Community – Celebrating Our Stories. We have been focusing on building connections and getting to know one another. We have explored the ideas of belonging, relationships, friendship and family, and what it means to be part of a community. 

The students have been learning that we are all connected by an “invisible string”  even when we are apart and that our classroom is one big family at school.

One of our special activities was drawing pictures of our families and sharing our stories with the class. It has been a beautiful way to celebrate who we are, where we come from, and the important people in our lives.

We are so proud of the way our 1/2 students have already begun to shine, and we can’t wait to see them continue to grow, connect and sparkle throughout 2026! ☀️
