Last week we were very lucky to welcome Mrs Loana Wallace, Diocesan Director of Catholic Mission to our school. Loana spoke to the children and staff about Catholic Mission and how our donations during our Mission Weeks in Term 4 help people less fortunate than ourselves. Loana told us that this year, our donations to Catholic Mission will be going to help build a school in the country of Malawi in East Africa. I am so proud of the efforts that the Catherine McAuley community put into helping those in need. I am looking forward to our Mission Weeks in Term 4.

Our Year 5 and 6 students and teachers, along with Mrs Chegwidden, have been working so incredibly hard on their Christmas Artworks over the past two terms. To celebrate their talents, we are holding a Christmas Art Exhibition for our school community. Please come along and browse the amazing talents of our students.

You are invited to attend our Parish Assembly which is being held over the weekend of the 14th - 16th of August.
Bishop McKenna reminds us that Christ is “the light which cannot be overcome, shining in the darkness.” Our Parish Assembly is a hopeful moment to seek Christ’s light for our community and for the future of our parish.
WHO CAN BE INVOLVED?
* Anyone who attends Mass in Orange, Molong, Manildra, Mullion Creek, Cargo and/or Cudal.
* Anyone living in our parishes who has been baptised Catholic but doesn’t attend Mass regularly (e.g. only on Christmas and Easter).
* Anyone living in our parishes who intends to answer “Catholic” in the upcoming census.
Please use the QR code on the agenda above to sign up. It will be a fabulous weekend.
On Friday the 3rd of July our Staff participated in a Staff Retreat Day. This Retreat was held at Ronald McDonald House Charities where we volunteered our time to this amazing Orange facility. Our staff cleaned, cooked, made beds, made gift bags, made gift tags, answered phone calls, laminated, put away clean linen, raked leaves and filed important documents on the day. It was so lovely to put our faith into action and give back to our local community.
