Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026 school year!

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful summer break and are feeling ready to get down to business!

It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces, positive attitudes and students ready to learn; especially our brand‑new Foundation students. We are delighted to welcome them and their families into our St. Joseph’s family.

I am looking forward to working alongside our dedicated educators, families and students throughout the year. Together, we will continue to nurture a safe, inclusive and faith‑filled environment where every child is supported to learn, thrive and reach their full potential.

We have hit the ground running. In just our first week, students have participated in the Year 3–6 Water Familiarisation Program, our Opening School Mass, beginning‑of‑year assessments and much more.

A huge thank you to the parent helpers who have bravely donned their bathers to support the Water Familiarisation Program; your involvement makes this program possible.

It was also wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles join us at the Opening School Mass. Your presence helped make it a truly special celebration to begin the year.

At St. Joseph’s, we deeply value our partnership with families. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher or myself if you have any questions or need support. As former principal Mrs Joan Moriarty wisely said, “We can’t solve problems we don’t know about.”

Here’s to an amazing year ahead!

Yours faithfully,

Stephanie
