Chaplain's Message

In a world that  demands its pound of flesh, Mother Theresa stands tall in her example of unconditional love to the world. Her perseverance in the face of huge opposition to her calling inspired by the words of a dying man in the streets of Calcutta “ I thirst”. In him she heard the voice of Christ as she stepped into her calling to work with the “poorest of the poor”. On being honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for bringing help to suffering , she declined the dinner in her honour and asked that the money be donated to her Missionaries of Charity for their work with the poor of India. Mother Theresa's actions reflected her values, her faith, her unwavering commitment to her Lord. She leaves us a legacy of love in the world which continues to shine brightly in so many lives and projects today

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Her Poem “Do it Anyway” is just another example of how she approached each day! May some of it seep into our soul!
