Thank you to all the people who supported our Biggest Morning Tea last week. It was very successful and the students enjoyed lots of yummy food.

A reminder that next Friday 5th June is a student free day, and Monday 8th June is a public holiday.

Year 3

We are currently encouraging our students to be independent learners; this includes doing their own morning jobs and preparing for the day, as well as, looking after their belongings.

In Literacy, we have started our new unit and text called ‘Yirra and Her Deadly Dog Demon’. The students have enjoyed beginning this text.

Year 4

In SpellEx, students have learnt about open and closed syllables, soft ‘c’, hard ‘c’ and soft ‘g’ and hard ‘g’. They have also learnt new tricky words of certain/ly, excite/ed, sudden/ly.

In literacy, students have continued to write their factual recount and read our novel Uncle Xbox. We have been expanding sentences, adding adverbials to the start of sentences, and using subordinating conjunctions.

In Math’s, students have continued with our unit of 2D Shapes. They thoroughly enjoyed our Rich Task of creating Mandala’s using 2D Shapes.

Last week, students received a letter from their Pen Pals. There was so much excitement in the room when they read their letters and watched the video they sent to us about themselves and school life in Italy.

Congratulations to the Sacramental Candidates and thank you to their families for their support and dedication in preparing the students for this special initiation into the Church. Students enjoyed Spirit Day today where they completed an activity booklet and practiced receiving the Eucharist.

We can't wait to celebrate Confirmation and Eucharist with the students on Saturday 30th at 6pm and Sunday 31st at 11am.
