Acting Principal's Message

Extra! Extra! Read all about us!
Did you grab yourself a copy of the Cobram Courier last week! St. Joseph’s had a full-page feature highlighting the wonderful things happening throughout our school community. From vibrant learning opportunities to the caring and faith-filled environment we are so proud of, it’s a fantastic celebration of all that makes St. Joseph’s special.
Open Day
St. Joseph’s School Cobram recently welcomed many families for a wonderful Open Day celebration, showcasing the vibrant learning, strong community spirit, and faith-filled culture that make our school so special.
Inspired by the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph’s provides a nurturing Catholic environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. Families toured our learning spaces, met staff and students, and learnt about the outstanding opportunities available at our school.
Visitors heard about our strong reputation for achieving the highest academic results in English and Mathematics across the local area, along with our commitment to evidence-based teaching practices guided by the Science of Learning. Families were also impressed by our culture of inclusive excellence and the strong pastoral wellbeing support provided to every student.
It is an exciting time at St. Joseph’s, with many families choosing to "come and be a Joey". We thank everyone who joined us for Open Day and look forward to continuing to welcome new families to our school throughout the year.
Australia's Biggest Morning Tea
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the students, families, staff, and friends who joined us for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. The kindness, generosity, and compassion shown throughout the day was a beautiful reflection of the Mercy values that continue to guide our St. Joseph’s community.
Inspired by the example of the Sisters of Mercy, who dedicated their lives to caring for those most in need, our community once again came together in service of others. From the delicious homemade treats and platters generously donated, to every gold coin placed in the tins, each contribution was given with love, hope, and care.
Together, we raised an incredible $530.35 for Cancer Council Australia. Every donation will help support the important work of researchers, scientists, and doctors as they continue striving towards better treatments and a cure for cancer.
A special thank you to our Year 6 students for bringing extra joy and excitement with the “How Many Fidgets in the Jar?” competition. Your enthusiasm and leadership helped make the fundraiser even more memorable.
Thank you for continuing the Mercy tradition of compassion, generosity, and making a difference in the lives of others.
