Foundation News  

We hope you were able to see how Foundation interviews at Assembly yesterday. They were super cute. It was great to hear how many children love learning, and of course the playground! 

Pleas ensure that your child is at school as close to 8.30 as possible on their check-in day. If you are unsure of what day your child has their check-in,  you will find a sticker on their clear folder used for our readers. We are struggling to give each child the time they deserve if they all arrive five minutes before the bell. 

Now that the weather is getting cooler, please make sure that all jumpers and jackets are labelled with your child's name. We have already had many jackets and jumpers go home in the wrong bag and unless they are labelled, we have no way of identifying who they belong to.  

In maths we have finished a unit on shapes. We are now beginning another unit all about number and place value. 

We have added some new sounds and tricky words to your child's keyring. These tricky words can also be found at the back of the white reading diary. Please take the time to practice some of these when you are reading with your child. 

We have now learnt all these letters and tricky words in class. 

We are so proud of the writing they are doing using these letters and words. 

In Religion our topic has been ‘Our Catholic Church’. We loved the children’s response to the question: What does the Church mean to you?
