SRC Update: Student Voice in Action

Our Year 6 SRC Captains and SRC representatives from Years 1–5 have been meeting fortnightly to discuss student ideas and explore ways to make St Margaret Mary’s an even better place to learn, engage, and have fun. Their enthusiasm and leadership continue to shine as they work together to strengthen our school community.

Recently, our SRCs delivered a presentation on healthy lunchboxes and the importance of embracing multiculturalism through the foods we bring to school. Students participated in hands-on activities that deepened their understanding of healthy food choices and the different food groups, while celebrating the diverse cultures within our school.

Our SRCs were also involved in Walk Safely to School Day. They visited their classes to share important messages about how to stay safe while travelling to school. Last Friday, we celebrated the event together, and students who arrived safely received a sticker and a piece of fruit. It was a wonderful opportunity to continue educating our students about health, physical activity, and making positive choices for their wellbeing.
