Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to all the families who braved the weather to join us for our Family Mass recently. It was wonderful to see so many of you there, and your support and presence always mean a great deal to our school and parish community.
A special shout out to our Year 6 students who participated so reverently in the Mass. They represented themselves and their families beautifully, and it was clear how seriously they are taking their preparation for Confirmation. We are very proud of the way they are approaching this milestone.
Confirmation is such a special sacrament, particularly because our students are at an age where they can genuinely understand and reflect on what it means. It is an important opportunity for them to take ownership of their faith and make a personal commitment, supported by their families and our community.
Last weekend we also celebrated the feast of Pentecost, which reminds us of the importance of courage, community and using our gifts to make a difference. It is a good reminder for all of us, staff, students and families alike, about the role we each play in supporting one another and building a strong, connected school community.

As you know, STMM proudly identifies with Brigidine, Marcellin and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart as one of the four schools within Sacred Heart Parish. With this in mind, I would like to invite you to support our parish by attending the Trivia Night this Friday.
The proceeds from the evening will go directly towards the renovation of the Presbytery. While the MSCs live very simply, it may come as a surprise that there is currently only one bathroom shared between seven priests, so this is a very worthwhile project for our parish community to support.
If you are unable to attend, you may wish to contribute to the silent auction. Thank you to those who have already donated items such as wine, jewellery, movie tickets and vouchers. Your generosity is very much appreciated. If you have a business or are able to provide a similar prize, donations can be dropped to the school office up until Friday morning.
For anyone planning to attend, please see the flyer for details which is located on the Community News page of this newsletter. If you can organise a table of eight, that would be fantastic. Mrs Giannikos, Mrs Green and I will all be there and are looking forward to a fun night.

Our school is currently participating in the Tell Them From Me parent survey. This survey helps us better understand your perspectives on your child’s experience at school, particularly around wellbeing, engagement, communication and support.
I strongly encourage you to complete the survey. It is confidential, takes about ten minutes, and provides us with valuable feedback to help guide our planning and improvement. Survey Link - http://tellthemfromme.com/pxq98

This term STMM was fortunate to receive a Sporting Schools Grant. We have used this funding to engage netball coaches who will be working with our students for two sessions per week over the next four weeks.
These sessions will run during break times and be offered to students in Years 2 to 3 and Years 4 to 6. It is a great opportunity for students to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy being active with their peers.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.
Warm regards,
Kylie O’Donnell
