Mikey 'How to Build a Bridge'
Earlier this year Mikey submitted an essay on, 'How to Build a Bridge' for the Ellen José Student Reconciliation Awards. He was awarded his prize at a flag raising/Bunurong smoke ceremony on Saturday 25th May.
The Ellen José Student Reconciliation Awards are aimed at Bayside primary and secondary school students, bringing awareness of reconciliation to our young people, who are the future of Australia, through art and writing. Entrants are asked to interpret "As a young person, what does reconciliation mean to you?" in their artwork or writing piece.
Mikey's essay is on display with the other Reconciliation prize winners down at the Bayside Council office in Sandringham. They'll be on display for the month of June.
