YEAR 7 ART
Students of Year 7 Art have been working away in the style of Matisse, creating collages which are known as his paper cuts.
They have been learning about how Matisse developed his collage method and style at the end of his life because he did not have the energy or health to paint. These colourful works are created on A2 size black paper.
After this task, and having learnt how to handle the paper medium, students created A4 size collages with Posca marker pen decorations in Indigenous inspired styles and themes. Students researched imagery and applied this knowledge with cut paper leaf motifs to the black paper for some beautiful and effective results.
Pictured is work that is on display at the moment in the Da Vinci Centre.
