Term 3 Author visit – Jack Heath
We are thrilled to announce that acclaimed author Jack Heath will be visiting Frankston High School on Monday 18 August!
Jack has written over 40 novels for adults, young adults, and children, with a strong focus on the Thriller genre. He prides himself on creating exciting, fast-paced books that engage even the most reluctant readers.
This promises to be an inspiring and unforgettable day for our Year 7 and 8 students, providing a fantastic opportunity to meet an author and discover the thrill of reading! Students are welcome to bring in one of Jack’s books for signing, or we will have bookmarks available on the day.
Hi, I'm Jack! I'm a novelist from Canberra, Australia. My work includes 300 Minutes of Danger (for kids), Kill Your Husbands (not for kids), and forty other books, which have sold half a million copies in ten languages. I live on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land with my wife, five chickens, three possums, two cats, and a pair of human children.

Children's Book Week turns 80 in 2025
Children’s Book Week is The CBCA’s key highlight national event of the year. This year’s celebration will run from Saturday 16 to Saturday 23 August.
The 2025 theme is Book an Adventure!
2025 is a milestone year for us as we celebrate 80 years of Children’s Book Week! For eight decades, CBCA has been dedicated to inspiring young minds to journey through the countless worlds that books offer, encouraging children to set off on adventures through time, lands, and imagination. We look forward to continuing this mission for the next 80 years and beyond!
Visit the Frankston High School library during Book Week to join the adventure! Mrs Waters has been busy creating an amazing display including all the nominated books. We will also be running our popular Book Week raffles and quizzes. Stay tuned next newsletter for photos of all the action!
