School Wide Positive Behaviour Support and Respective Relationships News
At our school, we use School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to explicitly teach, encourage and recognise positive behaviours across all areas of school life.
SWPBS helps our students understand what positive behaviour looks like, sounds like and feels like in the classroom, playground and wider school community.
This term, we are continuing to focus on being:
A key part of SWPBS is recognising students when they demonstrate our school values. Positive feedback helps children understand what they are doing well and encourages them to continue making positive choices.
Families can support SWPBS at home by using the same language and celebrating examples of safe, respectful and responsible behaviour.
When students are 'caught' doing the right thing, positive points are awarded. When the Positive Points show up on your child's Compass profile - give them a compliment. They are Cranbourne South PS Champions and have shown they can live our values and do the right thing!
Thank you to our students and families for helping create a positive, safe and inclusive school community. Together, we can make positive behaviour the norm!
