We are incredibly excited to share some fantastic news about our very own Sebastian Gigliotti! 

Sebastian has been selected for the Northern Knights U/16 football team — an incredible achievement for a 15-year-old! 

After his fantastic achievements in the NFNL, including being selected for the Under 14 A Team and then the Under 15s NFNL Team, where he was appointed Vice Captain, Sebastian continues to go from strength to strength.

His hard work, dedication, leadership and passion for football are truly paying off. This latest selection is another amazing step in his football journey and an exciting opportunity as he continues along the AFL pathway!

Senior Girls Basketball Team Finishes Second at NMR Regional Tournament

On 20 August, Epping’s Senior Girls Basketball team competed in the NMR Basketball Regional Tournament and achieved an impressive second-place finish.

The team began the tournament with a closely contested game against Thornbury. The result remained tight throughout, but the girls showed great composure and determination to secure a narrow victory. Building on this strong start, Epping produced a confident team performance against Islamic Sports School and came away with a much more comfortable win.

These two victories earned Epping a place in the final against a talented SEDA team. Although the girls worked hard and continued to support one another, SEDA proved too strong on the day. Epping finished as the regional runners-up, an outstanding achievement against quality opposition.

The result was even more impressive considering the team consisted of only 10 players and had been unable to train together before the tournament due to study commitments.

Despite the limited preparation, the girls quickly came together and demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and determination throughout the day. Reaching the final was a significant accomplishment, and every player should be extremely proud of her contribution.
