RAISE Mentoring Program

This year, a number of our Year 8 students have been participating in the RAISE Youth Mentoring Program, a valuable initiative that partners young people with trained volunteer mentors from the community.

Through weekly mentoring sessions, students have had the opportunity to build confidence, develop positive relationships, strengthen communication skills, and work towards personal goals in a supportive environment.

The program provides a safe space for students to talk, reflect, and develop strategies to navigate challenges both at school and in everyday life.

Our students are looking forward to graduating from this program later in the term.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with RAISE and celebrating the growth and achievements of our students throughout the year.

Love Bites Respectful Relationships Program

Our Year 10 students recently participated in the Love Bites Respectful Relationships Program, an engaging and evidence-based program designed to help young people develop the knowledge and skills needed to build healthy, respectful relationships.

Love Bites encourages students to explore topics such as communication, consent, gender stereotypes, respectful behaviour, and seeking support when needed.

Through interactive activities and discussions, students learn how to recognise positive relationship behaviours and develop confidence in making safe and respectful choices.

The program supports our commitment to student wellbeing and fostering a safe, inclusive school community.

Thank you to all students for their thoughtful participation and respectful engagement throughout the program.

Learning for Life

As part of our Learning for Life and Health curriculum, students are participating in the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) Program. This evidence-based program supports young people to develop the social, emotional and relationship skills needed to thrive both at school and beyond.

Through a range of engaging classroom activities and discussions, students explore topics such as emotional literacy, personal strengths, positive coping strategies, gender equality, respectful communication, consent, and healthy relationships.

The program encourages students to build resilience, understand their rights and responsibilities, and develop the confidence to contribute positively to their communities.

The RRRR program aligns with our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.

By strengthening students' understanding of empathy, respect and positive relationships, we are equipping them with lifelong skills that promote wellbeing and help prevent bullying, discrimination and gender-based violence.

We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by discussing the importance of respect, resilience and healthy relationships in everyday life.

Working together, we can support our young people to become confident, respectful and responsible citizens.
