From the School Leadership Team

Welcome Back to Term 2!

A warm welcome back to all our Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School families as we begin Term 2. It is wonderful to have everyone back, and what a beautiful season to return to! The lingering warmth of late summer has been a real treat, and while there is a gentle reminder in the air that the cooler months are on their way, the trees around our school are putting on a magnificent display of colour. Gold, amber, and red — what a marvellous Creator we serve! It is a lovely reminder to pause and give thanks for the beauty God weaves into His creation at every turn of the year.

Congratulations to Vicki and the GGOSH Team

A very well done to Vicki and the entire GGOSH team for delivering a fantastic vacation care programme during the recent school holidays. Vicki has also been doing tremendous work behind the scenes on our standards rating and reassessment process with the Education Standards Board — a rigorous process that all OSHC and ELC services undergo on a regular basis. We are grateful for her dedication and professionalism in leading this important work.

ELC Development Update

Exciting things continue to take shape with our Early Learning Centre development. Our Development Application is currently with Tea Tree Gully Council, and we look forward to updating the school community on progress very soon. Watch this space!

ANZAC Day — Lest We Forget

We are very proud of our School Captains, Ellie and Nick, who represented Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School at the Tea Tree Gully Dawn Service on ANZAC Day.

A special acknowledgement also to Ray Shillabeer, who led the Ode at our school ANZAC service with great dignity. We were also honoured to have the 110 Battery, 16th Royal Australian Artillery serve as the Catafalque Party at our school service. It was a moving occasion and a meaningful way to honour those who have served.

Coming Up This Term — Save the Dates!

There is plenty to look forward to in Term 2. Please make a note of the following dates:

  • Friday 1 May — SACSA Athletics
  • Sunday 4 May — P&F Committee Meeting (in preparation for Light Up the Night)
  • Tuesday 5 May — Mother's Day Stall (a big thank you to our Class Carers!)
  • Friday 8 May — Light Up the Night Evening
  • Monday 11 May — Chapel led by Pastor Kevin

It is shaping up to be a wonderful and busy term. We look forward to sharing it with all our families.

Blessings to you all as we journey through this beautiful season together.

Buildings and Facilities Master Plan 2026 - 2036

As many of our families would be aware, our school is currently implementing our Strategic Plan for 2024 - 2028, which is located on our website

To tie in with our Strategic Plan, the School has engaged long-time Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School architect Craig Vale from Arkvale Architects to undergo a new Buildings and Facilities Master Plan.

We would love to hear from you! Please take a few minutes to complete our parent survey by clicking on the link below. Your feedback will play a meaningful role in guiding the future of our buildings, facilities, and learning spaces — and we want to ensure that everything that flows from this process is planned and designed with real depth and thoughtfulness.

Please complete the survey here by Friday 15 May, 2026.

Your input within the parent survey will help and guide us immensely throughout this exciting process.

As part of the Master Plan review, we will also be reviewing our carpark and general traffic flow. This will include traffic engineers on site in the coming weeks.

Sports Day - Friday 11 September

Please mark your calendars! Sports Day will be held on Friday, 11 September. We are looking forward to a fun day with excellent weather. More details will be provided closer to the date.

LLL - Charitable Donations Program

We're thrilled to partner with LLL Australia to bring you a meaningful way to support our school through their Charitable Donation Program.

Your generosity in making a deposit with  the LLL through a Charitable Facility Account which will assist us in upgrading our Foundation playground.

The funds you hold in your Facility will generate notional amounts of interest that is retained by LLL who will make a regular allocation to us to further our project, while your original investment remains completely untouched.

Our partnership with LLL Australia makes it simple and secure by:

  1. Opening a new LLL Charitable Facility.
  2. Nominating Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School as the preferred beneficiary of the interest your facility will forgo.

That's it! You can rest easy knowing your money is making a meaningful difference in our community—all with zero fees or charges to you.

If you would like to know more, please contact Tanya Rowland, our Business Manager.

The link below enables you to open an LLL Charitable Facility and nominate our school.
