Education Week 2026

This week, we celebrated Education Week, which offered a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Whittlesea Primary School. This year’s theme, 'Showcase Your School,' was brought to life through a day of creativity, imagination and connection.

One of the highlights of the week was our special dress-up day yesterday, where students came to school proudly representing their future aspirations. It was inspiring to see a wide range of careers on display, tradies, teachers, athletes, dancers, singers, vets, doctors and many more, each reflecting the hopes and dreams of our students. There was a lot of enthusiasm, and when students spoke about their chosen paths, it was a strong reminder of the importance of nurturing ambition and curiosity in our classrooms.

Adding to the fun, our teachers embraced the theme by going ‘back to school’, dressing as students themselves. This role reversal provided plenty of entertainment and reinforced the idea that learning is a lifelong journey shared by both students and staff.

This day also highlighted our sense of community within our school, as students, staff and families all recognise and celebrate the value of education. Thank our families for their support in helping students dress up for the day and for continuing to engage in opportunities that showcase learning across our school.
